Competition Rules
This is a hard copy of the Competition Rules that you can save or easily print. It also displays how to resize your images (which is also shown in the guidance document.

Guidance Booklet
This booklet has been put together to help anyone who’s new to the club – or new to photography – find their feet. Inside, you’ll discover:
- A quick look at the club’s history and how it all began.
- What we get up to as a club – from activities to events.
- Easy tips on print mounts, image sizes, and how to resize your photos.
- Guidance on using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in photo editing – what’s okay, and what’s not.
- A gentle introduction to drone and phone photography, plus an idea of what cameras might cost.
- The basics of camera settings to help you get started.
- A guide to photo editing software, with some simple fixes for common computer hiccups.
This is just a friendly guide to help you enjoy your photography and make the most of your time with us.

Print Competition Forms
There are 3 print competition forms in this document. These are used for all print competitions. The three forms are:
- Advanced print competition
- Beginner print competition
- Hugh Shaw Competition
The printed forms should be included with your prints when handed in for competition. The forms can be completed on-line and then printed or printed and then completed.
Please ensure that the titles of each print match the print title on the rear of the print mount (top left corner).
The print competition forms are normally located at the bottom of the Syllabus page.
